All you Glee fans whining about how you don’t get a new episode for 8 weeks? Doctor Who’s last new episode was Christmas Day, no new episode until fall of this year at the earliest, and Sherlock will not air a new episode until NEW YEAR’S DAY 2013 (and they killed the…

I am not attacking the the fandom in of itself. I am also not saying that fandom is any less awesome then mine, because to them their fandom is special. In fact, I also occasionally watch Glee, and genuinely enjoy some of their work. I am simply stating my irritation after having to listen to several of my friends (not random internet spam) complain about the gap, and stating that in this particular case, there are at least two other shows with fandoms just as large (I’m not sure about numbers: I’m making an assumption on demographics) who have a longer time to wait until they also get new episodes or a new series, and I happen to be fans of them. If you don’t agree that I should also be allowed to complain and make comparisons that’s fine, but it’s not going to stop the rest of the internet from continuing to do so. And at least I’m not bashing Glee to hell as many other fandoms do. Everyone has their own likes, dislikes, and pet peeves, and I’m just voicing mine.

I wasn’t necessarily talking speficially about your post. I’ve just seen alot of posts like yours that people keep complaining that Glee fans don’t have the right to complain because they don’t have to wait as long as Doctor Who or Sherlock fans. It’s alright to be like well that’s not fair, we have to wait longer or at least you don’t have to wait until next winter/next year. I’ve just seen some people get vicious about it. Saying that Glee fans should be lucky and they need to shut their stupid mouths because they only have to wait 8 weeks.

I totally agree with you that people shouldn’t be vicious about it. As someone who jus complained about having to wait a while for a new series/episode, I feel like yes, everyone has the right to complain, but that doesn’t mean I need to enjoy their complaining or them mine. But there’s a difference between complaining about complaining and tearing the mickey out of a fandom and their show just to be mean. I don’t think anyone has the right to do that. Fans can and should complain to their heart’s content. But like most people, I also don’t like having to listen to others complain about stuff I’m not as interested in. xD I’m sure Glee fans want to kill the fandoms of shows like Sherlock and Doctor Who when we whine and agonize about cliffhangers and new castings, and they’re allowed. But when people start bashing the shows and the integrity of the fans, that’s when it gets inappropriate. And I am definitely not trying to do that in any way. So I do apologize if I’m coming off as that kind of person.

Oh I definitely agree! And like I said it wasn’t necessarily you. I’d just gotten tired of reading about everyone complaining and I lashed out at your post when I shouldn’t have. I apologize for that as well.

No worries, because it’s definitely an understandable and accurate point to make. We must all band together to ensure only mild trolling and complaining about complaining is allowed to occur!
